I made it to Slovenia safely, and I am glad to say that it was a smooth traveling experience. I was at the Boise airport with time to make my flight, and there were no problems catching any of the connections. The hardest part of the trip so far was having to leave on Valentine’s day. Brinklee started crying pretty bad when she saw that I was getting dropped off at the airport. It is hard to communicate to her that I will be back within a couple of weeks.

The food is good here, the beds are comfortable, and there is wifi access. All in all it seems as if I am off to a good start over here in Slovenia. I think the tournament actually will be wrestled all day Saturday. That gives us a couple of days to acclimate a little bit as well as get a couple days of training in with the Slovenian team. They don’t have a huge amount of athletes that participate in greco roman wrestling, but they do have some good wrestlers here. The tournament should give me a handful of much needed matches. Nationals is approaching quickly, and it would be awesome to take home another title.
